Experience using iPhone applications in your BMW without restrictions. Individual functions are controlled intuitively using the iDrive system of your BMW. These features can be used in BMW vehicles equipped with special option “Apps”, available from March 2012 in BMW models produced for China.

The BMW Connected App provides a new, unique way of connecting driver, vehicle and iPhone.
In your BMW with the special option "BMW Apps", it opens up a completely new world. You simply connect your iPhone to the USB socket via your Apple white cable or the BMW accessory Snap-In adaptor and then the app functions are available via the iDrive controller, the display and the cars audio system.

Functions:
Kaixin/Sina Weibo (for use only in your BMW):
The latest status updates from your community are displayed in your BMW. You stay networked all the time, wherever you happen to be. You can send pre-defined texts relating to current vehicle information during travel. The Sina Weibo main menu shows account name and number of posts from the user and latest posts, including expanded received message view, Top 10 Hot posts, 10 nearby posts, 10 nearby people display and follow nearby people.

Calendar (for use only in your BMW):
BMW provides you the option of viewing and also reading out iPhone calendar entries in your BMW. You can view a daily, weekly, monthly, or detailed summary of your appointments for even greater convenience.

Last Mile Navigation and Vehicle Finder (for use outside your BMW):
Your BMW navigation system’s current destination and your BMW’s parked location data are transferred to your iPhone and displayed on Baidu Map, so that you can walk to your final destination, such as a nearby shop, and then find your way back to your car at the end of your day.

News (for use in and out of your BMW):
You can add RSS (real simple syndication) news feeds from popular websites, as well as from BMW, then read them on your iPhone and on your BMW control display.

ECO PRO Analyser (for use in and out of your BMW):
Evaluate your driving style in the categories of acceleration, braking and shifting (manual transmission only). In addition to a 1 to 5 star rating, the graphic image changes according to your driving style. ECO PRO tips are displayed with symbols and text. This function only works with the new generation BMW navigation system professional.

The technical requirements for using the BMW Connected App in your BMW are as follows:
Navigation system professional with integrated Bluetooth mobile phone preparation, USB interface and the special option “Apps” (6NR) or BMW ConnectedDrive Services (6AK), available from 03/2012 for BMW models produced for China.

Limited functionality is possible in the case of insufficient data transfer bandwidth and volume-based bandwidth limitations. Selected functions are based on service provisioning by third-party operators and may not be available at all times.

A broadband data connection is required; any costs incurred through this type of connection (e.g. due to roaming) are part of your contract with the network operator. Please note specific national demands and requirements.
For this reason, BMW cannot provide any guarantee for compatibility and functionality of your mobile device in connection with your BMW interface.
Additional BMW Connected functions will be released over time. Application updates, if available, can be obtained free of charge. Extensions may be subject to further charges, subject to change without notice.
